New to the program in 2022, this Fraser-Howard rosé is our first rosé to be released publicly.  A base of Cabernet Sauvignon, picked and pressed immediately with small amounts of Grenache and stainless steel Chardonnay blended in prior to bottling.  This wine is bright, fruit forward and quaffable, meant to be shared and enjoyed amongst family, old friends, or used to make new ones. With only 50 magnums produced this with is our smallest lot to date, so request a bottle (or 2) of this summertime sipper before its too late!

The 2022 harvest was a year of highs and lows... literally speaking in terms of temperature and weather.  From 110-117+ degree days to 65 and rainy,  the year certainly came with its challenges. Fortunately, our Chardonnay as well as our Cabernet, which was pre-determined for rose, were picked right before any major heat but the age of some vines started to show through the turbulent temperatures resulting in lower yeilds.  What fruit we did pick however proved to be packed with intensly cocentrated flavors you can taste in each sip.

Harvested in the morning of September 18th.  The fruit was whole cluster pressed to retain delicate fruit flavors before being fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve the bright acidity and fruit flavors.  Racked clean and aged in tank before being blended with small amounts of Grenache and stainless steel Chardonnay before being bottled unfiled and unfined.

With relatively low yeilds resulting in the smallest lot to date, we decided it was a perfect opportunity to have some fun creatively with this bottling. 

Produced only in magnum format (because who really wants to only have 1 bottle of rosé anyways?) this wine dons a very special label, from some very special artists... our niece and nephews, River, Hunter & Elle Howard. Each were asked to draw a beach and the resulting pieces were layered ontop of one another to create this one-of-a-kind label art.
